Before you apply our balm, there are a few initial steps you must take. First, you will need to clean your leather. Second, you must determine what kind of leather you are working with. Some leathers are non-absorbent, meaning our balm will not absorb. You will need to use our leather deglazing solution to prep this kind of leather before balm application, and our conditioning cream after application to refinish the surface.

Clyde's recoloring balm is the cat's meow. I used it on 30 yo Harley handlebar tool bag (it also spent time on the bottom of my son's Harley in all the mud) and it looks brand new. Anybody need a "new" tool bag for their bike? When you need the best, go for Clyde's!

This stuff is not cheap, but cheaper than a new leather sectional. I was able to repair areas of wear and basically bring it back to new looking condition. One of the supposes was how it fright back the feel of the leather. The worn areas had not only lost their color, but also developed a rough feel. Clydes smoothed it out, and it feels great. I do wish there were more color choices, but I was able to duplicate the color of our couch by blending the dark brown and medium brown. Time will tell how long this lasts, but so far I am very pleased.

Used two different dye colors to get the perfect shade needed. Ordered the maroon and the red. Mixed a small amt. as a test first. Color match was very good . Once recoloring was finished and cured (waited 36hrs)...used the condition moisturizer on the furniture and it looks really good

I was amazed! My sofas ably because they are almost 50 years old and probably because they are in the coldest part of my house and they get little traffic and use, the leather was in pretty good condition but the color had faded out. I used the color cream on one first and waited several days. The leather felt great and had no residue of any sort. I thought it would be like using shoe polish, but that leaves a waxy residue and rubs off easily. This was totally different. My sofas truly look like new. I had to use 2 coats and pay attention to corners and seams, but the results were beyond satisfying.

The last video , Clyde offered terrible advice on using dish soap to clean the leather seats. Dish soap will remove the lanolins from the leather leaving it dry and brittle. Always use saddle soap or water and a gentle leather cleaning product.

Bonded really well, doesn't come off! A bit more orange than I was hoping, but good coverage. It will be exactly as the bottle looks. Watched a YouTube video where any lines came off with conditioning as excess so went with that approach, saw on the detailed instructions to wipe in with a wet cloth. So if you go with that instead you'll be good to go! Will do what it says it will do for sure! I've blended a dark brown on the seams. Need more to cover. Huge couch n all!

It did a great job repairing a couple of damaged areas we had on a leather love seat. It was difficult to get the color to match and it ended up slightly darker than we intended. It dries very slightly darker than what it looks like when it's wet. It's not noticeable unless you know it's there and has added years to the life of a nice piece of furniture.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first. I had a hand-me-down khaki leather chair and ottoman that faded to an ugly yellow from the sun. The dark brown covered it perfectly!!
